Peebles Triathlon 2016

Peebles triathlon was split across 2 days with the Novice event on the Saturday and the Sprint on the Sunday
In the novice event we had some first timers taking part in Hugh, Karen and Jeroen who all got through it finishing in 10th, 22nd and 8th respectively.
We are not sure if Hugh’s finish was helped or hindered by his sons running next to him with words of encouragement. The “encouragement” mainly seemed to be based around, “you are old and slow keep going” or words to that effect.
Another good turnout for the Sprint event on what looked at first was going to be a cold and wet day but got hotter as the day went on.
Susan Nisbet took 1st overall female and 1st Vet, Adrienne Turner was 1st SuperVet. Keeping it in the family Colin Turner was 2nd Overall and 1st Vet. Kevin MacArthur took 3rd overall
